We're also informed, that the JAMB Management board, has, however, withheld the result of 12,110 candidates for possible disciplinary action.

According to the Registrar of JAMB in Nigeria, Professor Ishaq, announced this at a news conference on the release of the results in Bwari, FCT, on Friday, the 3rd of May 2020.

According to the JAMB registrar, he said that after thorough processing of answer scripts of the candidates who participated and sat for the JAMB 2020 examination, the JAMB board has discovered some forms of malpractice which were being perpetrated during the conduct of the JAMB examination.

While a whopping number of 1,629,102 candidates sat for the screening exercise.

Professor Dibu also said that the general performance of candidates in this year’s JAMB examination shows remarkable improvement when compared to that of last year.

The Prof. also said that "Ten candidates scored 300 marks and above, while a total of 127,017 candidates scored between 1-159 marks.

He also said that up to 40,692 candidates' results were invalid due to either multiple shading or no shading at all.

After processing all the JAMB 2020 RESULT, the JAMB management board has also discovered that up to 47,974 candidates were absent.

The JAMB registrar has also assured candidates that their results could be accessed on the JAMB official Website below:

Jamb.sch.ng using their registration numbers.

The JAMB Registrar, Professor Dibu also said that about 40 centers would be screened to ascertain their culpability and warned the public against Internet fraudsters.

Quoting the jamb registrar, here are his exact words:

Information reaching the JAMB management board shows that some Internet fraudsters are already telling candidates that their results could be upgraded in one form or the other.

This is pure deceit, so the public and candidates are hereby advised to disregard these fraudsters since they do not have access to our data, they can't do anything, please don't fall a victim.

The jamb registrar also discloses this, saying:

Let me once again state that candidates are allowed to change their choices of institutions and courses once only, this change has to be effected within two weeks, which starts from today, the 3rd of May 2020.

The JAMB Registrar, Prof. Isaq also disclosed that the Computer Based Test (CBT) is scheduled to take place, starting from May, 18th to the 1st of June 2020.

Yes, I know the JAMB examination is only a day ahead and students are
furiously searching for methods and guidelines on how to pass the JAMB
2020 examination, how to score 300+ in the upcoming JAMB UTME/DE
examination, please don't worry, because here's a detailed guideline on
how you can score high and pass the JAMB 2020 examination in a flying
color.

JAMB 2020 Tips: Top Best 17 Techniques to Passing UTME.

1. Except in the subject, Use of English all exam papers under JAMB are multi-option, also known as multi-Option.

2.
Some intelligent persons have called "JAMB UTME" a multi-option
questions, MULTI -SPECULATION questions. And that is the secret because there lies the key to your entire labor! JAMB test doesn't have relevance for your brilliance in the classroom but to how smartly you'll be able to use your brain within the given period of time.

You can check your JAMB 2020 RESULT by clicking Here.

3.
Coincidentally, 2 out of 3 of the techniques are derived from your
capacity to guess the right answer accurately under pressure.

4.
Some Specialists in Nigeria have also disclosed that it is very
possible, 100% possible for a few pupils (like primary school pupils) to
score as high as 25% in a JAMB question paper that they understand
nothing about like chemistry! All of us understand that is nearly
impossible in essay tests.

5. We hope that JAMB will not engage itself in negative marking. But when it does ALL questions should be replied in accordance using its typical test teachings. i.e. don't leave any response clean even, when you have
just 5 to 10 minutes to go.

6. Please before entering the examination hall, you should remember that in JAMB, you'll never be able to read entirely or enough to get you to remember everything you've read 100%. You need to accept the test scrapbook technique which will
help you to remember what you have previously study significantly, to
boost the total of everything you can to remember Do Not panic or fret
concerning the volume of what remains to be examined. Note that for all
problems, there's a solution.

7. When reading the JAMB past question papers and Answers, note that they are always broken up into the following segment:

The Root.

<span style="font-family: "times new roman" , "serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">The Stem,

<span style="font-family: "times new roman" , "serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">The Branches.

8. Please note that THE ROOT states the underlying facts. They can be written either in
the present or past tense. They can be short or long. All facts given can be
significant or may not be relevant. The facts contained in the roots are also
called the STIMULUS MATERIAL. But also note that in some questions, the stem
can appear without the root.

9. While THE STEM is the actual question or the task to be done. The keywords to
the questions are to be found in the stem and not the root. The stem can be in
the form of making a choice or a call for the completion of a sentence. The
stem may add facts to the root or may not. It may require that assumptions be
made and may specify what course of action or theory to advance or not.

10 THE BRANCHES are the options that are available. They are made up of
choices as possible answers. They may state conclusions only or link
conclusions with a reason to support it. Options may seem related to one
another or maybe exactly independent of each other.

<span style="font-family: "times new roman" , "serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">11 When using Past questions and answers, they can all
be grouped as follows:
<span style="font-family: "times new roman" , "serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">Questions → Easy, Hard,
<span style="font-family: "times new roman" , "serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">Possible Answers → The
correct answer.
<span style="font-family: "times new roman" , "serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , "serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">the incorrect answer,
<span style="font-family: "times new roman" , "serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , "serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">the best answer,
<span style="font-family: "times new roman" , "serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , "serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">the worst answer.

<span style="font-family: "times new roman" , "serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">One thing you should be aware of is that the
examiners are only interested in the BEST answers. Some answers can be true but
irrelevant.

12. Please be aware that examiners
do not give wrong questions yet they do try and contain wrong responses
that may look sensible and right. Do Not be misled yet. You have to have
the ability to identify these during your groundworks to an extent it
becomes second nature for the tests.

13. JAMB questions shouldn't be neglected. A little knowledge with a bit of guesswork should enable you to pass the test about 50%of the time. The goal of this write up would be to analyze methods by which this 50% can be pushed around a percent above 70%. Should you at all sat for any
objective(multi-option) test again the strategy and methods to use will
likely function as the same

14. Quit wasting time
looking for almost any routine in the responses given. There are really
no such things purposefully put in by jamb examiners, so don't waste
your precious time doing this, most students have done this and failed
woefully.

15. At the beginning of this article, we
additionally classified all JAMB questions as SIMPLE, TOUGH and very
POSSIBLE as emphasized above.

You should be aware that these questions typically discover the techniques to be utilized.
However, what do we mean by these categorizations, you may ask? and
here's our candidate Answer.

<span style="font-family: "times new roman" , "serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">An EASY question is
one whose answer you know by merely reading the stem.

<span style="font-family: "times new roman" , "serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">A HARD one is the one you
do not know and the options given do not reveal any hint of assistance.

<span style="font-family: "times new roman" , "serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">While the POSSIBLE questions are those having two or three possible answers playing
soccer with your mind. They are the usual TIME-WASTERS to students.

<span style="font-family: "times new roman" , "serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">But you are
not alone. Nature has a way for compensating difficult situations cause these types of questions usually have the greatest number of hints to use in making a
choice.

<span style="font-family: "times new roman" , "serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">Over 20 of such hints are given in a later write-up. But once u know
how to recognize them you will pass the original Jamb and post – Jamb exams.
Each of these types of questions will later be linked with the techniques most suitable
for them. Note however that an easy question for you can be a hard one for
someone else.

16. Let's additionally pay attention to some responses/alternatives employed by examiners called DISTRACTERS and FOILS.

<span style="font-family: "times new roman" , "serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">DISTRACTER
This is one factor that compellingly and confusingly pulls you in the incorrect way.
They are those accurate responses that are not the outstanding and best answers to the questions.

While a FOIL is something which will give you double answers as to advantage or disadvantage by comparison.

One
thing I have learned so far after writing and setting examination for
students are this, and that is, All examiners use foils and distracters.

17.Though
some questions could be categorized as SIMPLE, but they might not be the easy ones to answer. The "greatest" or "nearest to answer" might not be the right answer.

18. Please ensure that when you
enter the exam hall, talk to your God, as for me, it's Jesus Christ,
however, ensure that your brain is loaded with answers and solution, but
don't overdo it.

and these cut off mark is the minimum anyone would need to score in THEIR POST UTME to have a
shot at admission in any of their desired faculty.

However, all students should note that the benchmark can be
increased or decreased depending on the average scores of candidates.
But please note that where the success rate is high, the first choice candidates will be
given priority.
We have received several questions from jambites, asking if they change the course, institution which they first added while registrating for JAMB.

The Dailyschoolnews professional and trained staff are currently helping candidates to change their 1st or 2nd choice courses or institutions.
We decided to start this service, after we have received several e-mails, sms, phone calls from candidates asking us to help them change their 1st or 2nd choice courses or institutions.
Please note that the changes we made are official and authorized by JAMB as they done to reflect on Jamb Result Systems immediately.

Here are some few reasons why you may want to change your Course or Institution, we will just mention a few.

Is this Why You Want To Change Your Course or Institution?

It is quite obvious that there are three good reasons why a candidate may need to change his/her jamb choice of course or institution or probably, do both, by changing their 1st or 2nd choice courses or institutions:

Due to Low JAMB - UTME score:
Most atimes, after the release of Jamb results, the next thing to face is post-UTME and admissions issue.

For example:let's take Peter as a case study

Peter applied for a federal university which probably fix a cut-off mark of 200 and above, now after Peter st for the JAMB exam, and the result was released, peter found out that he scored less than 200, this simply means that he has lost the admission he's seeking into the Federal University.

So in a case like that of Peter, the change of institution to a state-owned/private University becomes necessary and the only legal way to get admitted.
We are also sure that you are aware that State universities generally fix cut-off marks below 200.

Due to Low UTME score:

Yes, just like the first case study, which we tagged IssueLevel 1, this occurs when a candidate chose a very competitive course like any of the following mentioned below.

Law,

Medicine and Surgery,

Pharmacy,

Engineering, etc.

Since we have been doing the change of 1st or 2nd choice courses or institutions, we know that there are several courses which have greater number of applicants than others and such courses invariably attract very high cut-off marks, probably to get only the best students.
To avoid being left aside a candidate is advised to go for change of course within the same institution or faculty.

Incomplete O'level Results
In cases like this, (Incomplete O'level Results) candidates who may have ran into deficiency of required credit passes in some key/relevant subjects may decide to go for change of course to accommodate themselves and get admitted.

Made some mistakes during registration.

Did you made any mistake while filling your jamb registration form, by either you or the business/cyber cafe?
All thanks to JAMB, with this change of course or institution, you can now correct any errors made during registration of your course or institution, either the 1st or 2nd choice.
